Jackson, SC – Entered into rest Monday, July 16, 2018 at the residence, Mr. David L. Ellis, 63, husband of Delilah “Dee” Ellis.

Mr. Ellis lived for the last 30 years in the Augusta area but was proud to be a native of Harriman, Tennessee. He retired from International Paper in Augusta in 2010. He was an all-around man’s man that loved guns, motorcycles, fishing, shrimping and children.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include sons: Justin Lynn Ellis (Melissa) and William Blake Ellis (Kimberley); stepdaughter: Shannon Herskowitz; grandchildren: Morgan Ellis, Luke Ellis, Ian Matthews, and Adam Herskowitz; mother: Hazel Ellis Woods; brother: Roy Frazier Ellis; sisters: Martha Ellis Harmon and Joyce Ellis Woody.

A memorial service will be Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Jeff Inkey officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
