Emblem

David Lee Iverson, 80, passed away at home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Evans, Georgia. He was the loving and devoted husband of Anne Iverson for 53 years, and father to son John, and daughters Amanda and Bethany, and Son-in-Law Todd Kelly who dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them.

David proudly served his country for twenty-six years in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Following his distinguished military career, he dedicated his time to serving others through volunteer work with the Red Cross, Columbia County Cares Food Pantry, Catholic Social Services, and other philanthropic organizations.

David was an active and devoted member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, where he treasured fellowship, spiritual fulfillment, and a church family he held dear to his heart.

A passionate supporter of the arts, David was a founding member of the Columbia County Choral Society and sang with the group for twenty-five years. His love of music was a meaningful part of his life and brought joy to those around him. In his spare time, he also enjoyed working with wood and painting using media of watercolors and oils.

David’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. He lived a vibrant life and leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
