Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, July 2, 2016, Mr. David John Everly, 78, loving husband of 57 years to Mrs. Joyce Iams Everly.
Mr. Everly attended Lee University in Chattanooga, TN. He retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service. He worked as a fire technician with SRS and Sizemore Security. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband and father.
Family members include his wife: Joyce; son: Christian Everly Hirsch and sister: the late Della Lee Zinkeler.
A memorial service, with US Army Honors, will be Friday, July 8, 2016, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Fr. Dave Arnoldt officiating. Entombment will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a later date.
