Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, July 29, 2009, Mr. David Lee Hensley, 65, husband of Judith Hensley.

Mr. Hensley was a native of Wilmington, NC and had resided in the Augusta area since 1971. He was a disc jockey-radio personality (Dave Hensley) for Big Gus, Kicks 99 and WMTZ. He was nominated as a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame and was a songwriter of several albums. Mr. Hensley was a member of Bible Fellowship Church.

Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: David Wall of Hephzibah, David Lee Hensley, Jr. of Tampa, FL and grandchildren: Jordan Wall, Jacob Wall, Aaron Hensley and Kyndal Hensley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Bible Fellowship Church with Pastors Randy and Mary Byrd officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Swearingen, Robbie Hunnicutt, Glenn Beasley and Darin Beasley. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
