David P. McDuffee

David Perry McDuffee, 94, passed away peacefully Friday, April 26, 2024 in Augusta, GA.

He was born May 6, 1929, in Henderson, NC to the late Florence and Daniel McDuffee. David attended Davidson College and received a direct commission in the US Army in 1954.  After separating from the Army after 10 years, he became a stockbroker in Fayetteville, NC. He retired from E.F. Hutton after 27 years, serving as first VP and branch manager of offices in Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC.  After retiring, he was appointed as an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

David enjoyed playing tennis, golf and bridge and going to Topsail Island.   David and his late wife, Peggy, had 60 wonderful years together.  They loved to travel.

He is survived by his son, David P McDuffee, Jr and wife Susan of Greenville, SC;  daughters Linda Morgan and husband Wes Morgan of Asheville, NC;  and Susan Atkinson and husband Keith Atkinson of Augusta, GA; five grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren.
