Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, April 28, 2023, Mr. William David Rees, age 85, loving husband of 43 years to Diana Rees. Other family members includes: nieces: Wendy Golob (Joe), Kim Gardner (Mike), Laurie Lukens (Mike), Nephew Larry Rees (Rita); 11 great nieces and nephews and 6 great great nieces and nephews.
David was born in Brooklyn, NY, but grew up in Berwick, PA. He worked in communications with Ford Aerospace. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church and the Daniel/Dewitt/Wren Men’s Life Group. David was an avid golfer for 60 years, enjoyed long distance running, and loved college football, especially Penn State and Georgia.
He was predeceased by his brother: Lawrence Hadyn Rees (Gail); and parents: Hadyn and Elizabeth Rees.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:00PM in the chapel of Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley officiating. A private burial at Westover Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warren Life Foundation, 3203 Washington Rd, Augusta, Ga 30909.
