Dawn Dimorier

Dawn Marie Dimorier, 69, of Preble, NY went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born August 21, 1952, in DeRuyter, NY, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Dorothy Seamans.

Dawn had lived in Georgia for over 40 years and most recently returned to live with her eldest daughter. She achieved a degree in Criminal Justice with excellent grades but chose to start and raise her very large family instead of establishing a career. While in Georgia she had been employed at various stores and restaurants. Her easy-going, witty, and fun personality and ability to “talk” to the public enabled her to work in customer service quite successfully. She found this fulfilling. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and reading every book in sight. She loved helping others, especially her family. She believed in working hard for what you have which is a trait not often seen. She cherished time spent with her children and many grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Danielle (Ky) Towers of Preble, NY, Naomi (Don) Bernheim of Truxton, NY, Wrayannette (Jose) Silva of Carrolton, GA, Victoria Biascoechea of Grovetown, GA, Susie Roy of Harlem, GA & Deana Thomas of Bonifay, FL; her sons Frank (Ashley) Dimorier, Jr. of Grovetown, GA & Donald Dimorier of Harlem, GA; her siblings David Seamans, Patricia Rose, Terry Barrows, Stephen Seaman, Renee Rice; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dawn was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank R. Dimorier, and daughters, Jopina Rice and Sarah Dimorier.

A Celebration of Life was held.at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Avenue, Cortland, NY 13045. A graveside service will be held at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson, GA on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wrayannette Silva, to assist in her ongoing care following her car accident.
