Dean Pope

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, July 17, 2022, Mr. Ferrell Dee “Dean” Pope, Jr., 78, loving husband of 61 years to Mrs. Sandra Williams Pope.

Dean was a life long native of Augusta. He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. Since 1993, Dean worked as a private investigator. In his spare time, he was an avid gun collector. Dean was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, affectionately known as “Bepa” to his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family.

Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Wendy Daniels (Timothy); son: Ferrell Dee Pope III; grandchildren: Meagan Tippins, Amanda Cassell, Mariah Curtis, Patrick Harper, Lauren Harper, Cameron Pope and Nolan Pope; five great grandchildren; brother: Dwight Pope (Pam) and sister: Amber Nettles and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Catherine Phillips.
