Deborah Irby

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, October 29, 2021, Mrs. Deborah P. Irby, 69, loving wife of 49 years to Jerry Irby; her sons are: Jason Irby (Brandy) and Brian Irby (Krystal); brother: Kevin Phillips (Pam); and grandchildren: Hannah Bochette, Abbigayle Irby, Bryson Irby, and Mason Irby. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty Phillips, and brothers, Johnny and Barry Phillips.


Deborah was born in Portsmouth, VA but has lived in Hephzibah for 40 years. She retired from civil service at Ft. Gordon after 35 years of service. She was a Presbyterian and a former member of First Presbyterian Church and loved her Women’s Bible Study Group. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was a devout Christian. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and believed in the closeness of family.

A graveside service will be Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Wadley Cemetery.
