Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her residence, Deborah Anderson Jones, age 65.

Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Augusta, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, known as Mema. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and received the Gartland Award in 2013. She also was president of PCCW, eucharistic minister, worked with the altar linen ministry and money counting ministry. Mrs. Jones loved traveling and worked at the Masters for 13 years. She also worked as a poll manager at Crawford Avenue Baptist during election season.

Family members include daughters: Lisa Kaylor, Rhonda Powers and husband, Jeff; sons: Vince Jones and wife, Erin, Joey Jones and fiancée, Robin Nevetral; grandchildren: Christopher Kaylor and fiancée, Mary Beth Powell, Catie Kaylor, Ricky Powers, Bekah Powers, Julia Jones, Vincent Jones, II; sister: Diane Schlein and a host of other loving family members. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents: Roy Anderson and Deona Beckum Anderson; her husband: Thomas C. Jones; daughter: Jennifer Jones; sister: Denise Sherrill and brother: Roy Anderson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Mark VanAlstine officiating. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to PCCW or the Women’s Council at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
