Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, February 4, 2012, at her residence surrounded by all of her family after a short battle with cancer. Mrs. Debra “Debbie” Newman Littleton, wife of 35 years to James C. Littleton.

Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Jaime Miller (Jeff) of Lincolnton, GA, Jaice Littleton (Shaun Snellings) of Grovetown, GA; sons: James C. Littleton II (Shelly Molton) of Augusta, GA, Jason Littleton (Amanda) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson: Micheal Chase Snellings of Grovetown, GA; granddaughter: Ellie Kate Littleton of Mt. Pleasant, SC; mother: Tommie Robbins Newman of Grovetown, GA; sisters: Terrie Stroup (Randy), Jennie Newman Bennett both of Grovetown, GA, Joan Borseth (Raymond) of Martinez, GA, Kate Whitaker (Kenneth), Tonie Lanier (Ronnie) both of Augusta, GA; brothers: Randy Newman of Laraine, OH and David Newman of Grovetown, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mrs. Littleton was preceded in death by her father Homer C. Newman, father and mother-in-law Mack & Lena Littleton.

Mrs. Littleton was a native and life long resident of Augusta. She attended Richmond County schools and was a 1971 graduate from the Academy of Richmond County. Mrs. Littleton was employed by Concerned Care. She was an avid Gamecock Fan, enjoyed playing bingo at Fort Gordon, visits to Cherokee, NC and Harrah’s Casino and attending the cousin’s luncheons.

The family extends special and sincere thanks to the team and staff of MCG Cancer Clinic, Augusta Oncology, MCG’s 5 North and Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care of our Debbie (BeBe).

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel with Rev. Albert M. Stroup officiating.
