Augusta, GA - Debra Elaine (Davis) Willis entered peacefully into rest on Monday, August 7, 2023.
Debbie was born on June 10, 1952, to the late Charles P. and Virginia Davis. She was a graduate of the class of 1970 from Butler High School. She was married to Thomas E. Willis for 52 years on July 24. Debbie spent her early life working for Crowell and CO. and then at University Hospital Ambulance Service. She retired in 1991 to care for her mother after an accident. She had a love for people and loved to talk. She hardly ever met a stranger. She loved attending the Clemson football games to watch her nephew Charles Richard (Chip) Davis II. “Nana” was a fire wife with a husband, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, and nephew who were all firefighters. She enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren. From the days of baseball games, fishing tournaments, archery competitions, softball games, and cheerleading competitions, she always wanted to support her grandbabies. “Nana” always found a way to get them out of trouble at home. During her battle with cancer, she made goals from graduations to birthdays and her anniversary.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Willis, and two children, Delta Elaine (Willis) Casey and her husband Paul, Thomas Brent Willis, and his wife, Jennifer. Four grandchildren, Cy Casey, Ansley Casey, Caleb Willis, and Macey Willis. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Richard (Rick) Davis, his son Charles Richard (Chip) Davis II, and his wife, Jennie, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to send a special thank you to Southeast Hospice and Nurse Susie.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, August 10, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
