Martinez, GA – Mr. Delbert W. Graves, born December 11, 1920 in Winfield, KS entered into rest Monday, August 27, 2018 at Doctors Hospital. He retired from DuPont as a mechanical engineer. For many years, he was involved with Sunday School, the church board and the visitation ministry in the Nazarene church in Delaware and at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Annabelle H. Graves. Survivors are his daughter, Linda (D) Graves Swint; grandchildren, Tanya (James) Swint Simpson, Joanne (Brian) Swint Howard, Daniel (Danny) Swint; six great grandchildren, Brandon (Tiffany) Howard, Dylan Howard, Alisha (Jonathon) Simpson Bond, Kaitlyn Howard, Cassie Simpson and Savannah Swint; three great great grandchildren, Brieanna Howard, Bella Howard and Michael Howard.
The family will receive friends at 5:00 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors on Davis Road. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 6:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Rutherford officiating.
