Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 29, 2017, Dennis E. Roark, PhD, age 74.
Dr. Roark was a native of Denver, CO. He attended the Massachusets Institue of Technology, where he graduated with honors, and spent the majority of his career as a college professor teaching math, physics and computer science primarily at Christian, faith-based colleges. Dr. Roark was dedicated to his students and impacted many of their lives personally. He retired from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota in 2013.
He is survived by his family including his sister, Carol Cearley and her three children: David Cearley( and wife Melissa), William Cearley and Kimberly Leonard.
Per Dr. Roark's wishes a private memorial service was held by his family in his honor. Memorial contributions may be made to River Community Church, PO Box 71, Del Rapids, SD 57022.
