Evans, GA – Mr. Deryl Ray Odom, 70, loving husband of Motha Odom, entered into rest Thursday, September 8, 2016.

Mr. Odom was a native of Warwick, GA and a resident of Evans, GA. He was a Baptist Minister for 30 years and a farmer prior to ministry. Mr. Odom received his Bachelor’s degree from Baptist Bible Institute and a Master’s Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He pastored Double Branches Baptist Church and Salem Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Martin Baptist Church in Martin, Warwick First Baptist Church in Warwick. Mr. Odom was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church. Loves of his life were his Heavenly Father, his family and his ministry to others.

Family members including his wife are son: Brent Odom (Ashlee); daughter: Paige Lozano; grandchildren: Bret Odom, Addison Odom, Zane Lozano; sisters: Sylvia Cobb (Steve) and June Murray (Fiancé, Larry); brother: Jerry Odom (Elaine) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Odom is preceded in death by his parents: Alvin and Frances Odom and brother: Mark Odom.

Funeral service will be held Monday, September 12, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Baptist Church of Evans. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park.

Memorials contributions may be made to the “Deryl Odom Mission Scholarship Fund” at Grace Baptist Church. This fund will serve to help send students to the mission field. Contributions can be sent to Grace Baptist Church, 4945 Hardy McManus Rd, Evans, GA 30809.
