Diane Bouvier
Augusta, GA – Diane Marie Bouvier, 51, passed away September 24th, 2017 in Augusta, GA after a long battle with diabetes. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bouvier (Augusta) and the sister of Craig Bouvier of Greenville, S.C. She is also survived by her nephew Eli Bouvier, her niece Aubrey Bouvier and a multitude of friends and those she helped to overcome addictions. Her best friend, helper, and sister in Christ, was Danielle Short.
Diane grew up in Monroe Bridge, Massachusetts, graduating from Drury Senior High School and McCann Technical School with a Cosmetology Degree.
She worked at the JB White Department Store Hair Salon and Applebee’s Restaurant after moving to Augusta. Diane had a passion for helping others and graduated from Augusta State University with a Psychology Degree (with honors) and then enrolled in graduate-level counseling courses at the University of South Carolina - Aiken. Fiercely independent, she was an example and inspiration to others who had to overcome physical challenges in pursuit of goals. Diane worked tirelessly with Mercy Ministries in the after-school Children’s Program, as well as various paid and volunteer positions as a certified Drug and Alcohol Addiction Counselor.
A prayer warrior and passionate follower of Jesus Christ, Diane loved music, especially contemporary worship and praise songs. Now fully restored, Diane has eternity to spend with friends and loved ones in paradise worshiping her Lord and Savior.
A funeral service will be held at the Vineyard Church of Augusta, 3126 Parrish Rd, on Wednesday September 27th at 3:00 pm with Pastor Reese LeRoy officiating. Family and friends will receive visitors at 2:00 pm. until the time of service at the church.
