Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, December 16, 2013, Mr. Dick Sapp, 83, loving husband of Ila Sue Sapp.
Mr. Sapp served in Korea with the US Army. He worked at the Medical College of Georgia for 20 years as a Mechanic. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Richmond Lodge #412 F&AM. He served as a Deacon at Sherwood Baptist Church and numerous committees and was a member of the Cornerstone Ministries Sunday School Class.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Sue Ellen Lane (Larry), Elaine Wilson(John) Karen Mobley (David), Jean Watson (Randy); grandchildren: Lauren Lane Hailey, Kerry Lane, Jessica Shearer, and Haley Feldhaus; great grandchildren: Chenault Hailey, Holland Hailey, Hunter Lane, Karlie Grace Lane and Clark Feldhaus.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Wayne Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sherwood Baptist Church, 3131 Old Louisville Rd., Augusta, GA 30906.
