Mrs. Dolores Stelmaszek Kaminski

Mrs. Kaminski was born October 5, 1929 in Parlin, New Jersey. She graduated from Sayreville High School and attended the Juilliard School of Music in New York. She was married in 1957 to Frank X. Kaminski and together they lived in New Jersey and raised two daughters there. She was active in scouting, volunteering in the school, gardening and traveling with her family. In 1978, she and her family moved to Augusta, GA where she resided until her death.
Mrs. Kaminski was a Sales Associate for Macy's at Augusta Mall for ten years. She was a faithful participant in St. Mary on-the-Hill's Holy Eucharistic Adoration Chapel and a devout Roman Catholic. Mrs. Kaminski stayed busy traveling, painting, caring for her family and gardening. Her vivacious personality transcended every aspect of her life and others.
She is preceded in death by her husband. Surviving family members include daughters: Dr. Pamela Kaminski (John Mayer) of New Mexico and Ms. Paula Kaminski, Augusta, GA; sister, Mrs. Laura Perry (Alfred) of Cincinnati, OH; Alfred “Tiger” Perry, Jr. (nephew) of NC; Mrs. Linda Girbert (niece), Joe Girbert (grand nephew) and Liz Girbert (grand niece) all of Cincinnati, Ohio.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 3:45 P.M. at St. Mary on-the-Hill Church with the Rev. John Lyons, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Savannah, GA. officiating. The family will receive family/friends following the service in the Parish Hall. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of floral arrangements, the family requests living azalea or hydrangea bushes as a contribution to a memorial garden.
