Domenico Orlando

Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, August 15, 2021, Domenico “Mimmo” Martino Orlando, 76, loving husband of Jeanmarie Orlando for over 36 years.
A native of Fasano,Italy, Mimmo emigrated to the United States to be near his sister in the early 1970’s. He later became a United States citizen, an accomplishment for which he was very proud while still sharing his Italian heritage. Mimmo was a graphic artist by trade, but he had many talents. His love and passion for authentic Italian food, along with his many years in the restaurant industry, inspired him to open his own Italian restaurant- Mimmo’s Taste of Italy. The restaurant was enjoyed by many for nearly nine years. Mimmo "retired", a word that he did not like to use because he was very active and always kept busy.
Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Patrick Orlando (Damie), Madia Stephenson (Evan), Andrew Orlando; grandchildren: Bryson, Zoe and Wynter Orlando; sister: Rosa Ferragut; nieces: Maria Ferragut, Antonella McDaniel and many other close relatives in Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents: Girolamo and Madia-Maria Orlando and two sisters, Lia Benarrivo and Nina Benarrivo.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Stevens Creek Church with Pastor Mo Huggins officiating. Family and friends are welcome.
