Donald L. Choat

Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, October 7, 2024, Donald Louis Choat, 68, loving husband of Teresa Eargle Choat.

Donald was born in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He worked as a Senior Planner at Savannah River Site where he retired from. He then worked for Harry’s Saw Shop, where he enjoyed talking to all of the customers. Donald also worked at The Master Tournament in concessions for over 30 years. He coached youth sports for his sons for many years and loved watching his kids and grandkids playing sports. Donald was an avid Atlanta Braves and UGA Bulldog fan. Donald will be remembered for having a huge loving heart.

Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Matthew Choat (Alyssa), Phillip Choat (Cara); grandchildren: Hayleigh, Rebecca, Mason, Walker and Hudson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Ruth Choat and stepmother Louise Choat.

The funeral service will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Tim Custer officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matthew Choat, Phillip Choat, Clay Hammond, Tracy Faglier, Alvin Anderson, Richard Eargle, and Joshua Faglier - Honorary.
