Donald Gene “Don” McCuller
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, April 4, 2016, Mr. Donald Gene “Don” McCuller, 63, husband of 26 years to Mrs. Marianne McCuller. Mr. McCuller was a native of Tupelo, MS but lived in Augusta for many years. He retired from Solvay Specialty Polymers after more than 35 years. Mr. McCuller was passionate about golfing, bowling and was a devoted Alabama football fan. He was a voracious reader and was interested in history. Mr. McCuller enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Family members in addition to his wife include step-son: Chris McPherson and wife Sarah; grandchildren: Lauren and Reese McPherson; sister: Kathy Wright; nephew Tim Wright; great nephews: Jayden Wright and Antonio Shanks; and a host of other loving family members. Mr. McCuller was preceded in death by his parents: Edward L. and Imogene McCuller.
A memorial service will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231 or to a charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, from 2:00 P.M. until time of service.
