Martinez, Ga. – Gone to rest in Heaven on Monday, May 4, 2009, Mrs. Donna Kitchens Truitt, 50, wife of James Truitt. She was a lifelong resident of Augusta and member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Truitt is remembered as a wonderful mother who loved her children.
Family members in addition to her husband include her sons: Matthew Lemons and Michael Echols of Augusta, the late Mitchell Echols; daughter: Kayla Reeves of Augusta; step-daughter: Jessica Truitt of Washington, GA; grandson: Christian Echols; sisters: Mahala Kitchens and Gail Abernathy; brothers: Jerry Kitchens, Billy Kitchens, Bobby Kitchens, and Lindi Kitchens; and close friends: Danny Thompson and Shirley Waters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2009, at 2:00 in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Pallbearers will be Lindi D. Kitchens, Jerry Kitchens, Bobby Kitchens, Billy Kitchens, Mike Hanson, and Daniel Thompson. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
