Dora Rodriguez

Augusta, GA – Dora C. Rodriguez peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2022, at her residence.

Dora was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on March 28, 1930. She married Marcelo P. Rodriguez, moving to the states in 1954, and settling in Augusta, GA in 1967. She was a strong, funny, loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend. Dora was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcelo P. Rodriguez, and granddaughter, Prentis Alisen Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughters: Lourdes I. Sellars (Raymond) and Carmen L. Meyer (Ron); sons: Gilbert E. Rodriguez, Marc C. Rodriguez (Lynn), Frank X. Rodriguez (Marta), and Richard L. Rodriguez (Debbie); granddaughters: Mary Watson, Carla Platner, Kalin Streater, Melissa Razdrih, Elise Rodriguez, Lizzie Meyer, Emma Meyer and Dorabess Rodriguez; grandsons: Marc Rodriguez, Joshua Sandstrom, Corey Lowe, David Meyer; and 7 great grandchildren.

A heartfelt thank you to Belinda Cooper for her love and care of mom and Southeast Hospice for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in the memory of Dora C. Rodriguez, to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA 30906.

The funeral Mass will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Christopher Awiliba celebrant. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
