Doris Burnham

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, May 13, 2023, Mrs. Doris Lane Burnham, 94, loving wife of the late Sherman C. Burnham, Jr.

Doris worked as a registered nurse and hospital volunteer for many years and was a world traveler. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, she was a long-time resident of Manchester, Massachusetts.

Family members include her three sons and their wives: David and Karen Burnham of Evans, Georgia; Sherman and Lynne Burnham of Sun City, Arizona; James and Patricia Burnham of Front Royal, Virginia; and 13 grandchildren with one on the way. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Lane Jr. and Ethel Lane (Foster) of Gloucester Massachusetts; her brother, Clifford Lane III of Manchester, Maine; and her sister, Barbara Jacobs of San Antonio, Texas.

The memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 18 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Ingram celebrant. Inurnment will take place in Phoenix at a later date.
