Augusta, GA – Doris Jean McCool, 59, went to be with Our Heavenly Father on Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia. She was the daughter of Thelma Adcock McCool and the late Rev. John Franklin McCool.
Ms. Doris McCool was a native of Concord, NC, but lived in Augusta the past 35 years. She was a 1969 graduate of Chesnee High School and was employed by MCG as a Research Assistant. Ms. McCool was a member of the Red Hat Society, and TOPS. She attended Carlisle Wesleyan Church in Boiling Springs, SC and Riverview United Methodist Church in Augusta, GA. Ms. McCool was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Family members include: sisters: Wanda Wilson (David) and the late Patricia “Patsy” Gail McCool, 2 nephews and 1 niece, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Jeffrey Wilson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of the Red Hat Club.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
