Doris G Smith

Entered into rest Wednesday, September 27, 2017 Doris G. Smith, 90, beloved wife of the late Franklin Thomas Smith.
Mrs. Smith grew up in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She met her husband after the Korean War. As a military spouse, she traveled a great deal living briefly in Warner Robins, before settling in Augusta, where she has remained for the past 46 years. Doris managed the ladies apparel department at Sky City.
Family members include a daughter, Dorothy J. Smith. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son, Thomas P. Smith.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 PM at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
