Evans, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Arline (Lamoureux) Carr, 91, entered into rest Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at University Hospital, Augusta, Ga. She was born on May 28, 1921 at Norwich, CT., the daughter of the late Harmidas and Angeline Lamoureux of Occum, CT. She was preceded in death by her husband Cyrus L. Carr, and son Michael P. Robb of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. As a military wife, she and her children moved frequently throughout the United States and overseas, finally settling in Fort Walton Beach, FL. After her husband’s death, she moved to Evans, Ga. to be with her oldest son, Arthur.
She was a homemaker, but also worked in several vocational areas over the years. She was a devoted wife and mother, who raised three children. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a fun loving, lively person, known as “Tootsie” and “Dottie,” by family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur Robb (wife Carole) of Evans, Ga. and James Caron (wife Mary) of Crestview, FL. Eight grandchildren; Arthur Robb Jr., Michael Robb, Michele Robb, Johnny Robb, Jimmy Caron, Karen Anne (Caron) Fair, Jessica (Caron) Welch, RaeLynn Roberts. Fourteen great-grandchildren; Roxanne Robb, Ashley Robb, Valerie Robb, Amber Harris, Coire Robb, Natalia Robb, Dario Robb, Ashleigh Justice, Derek Salonis, Gabrielle Welch, Destiny Caron, James F. Caron III, Tristian Roberts, Caitlyn Roberts. Five great-great-grandchildren; Carmen Beasley, Blayne Spires, Carter Spires, Nevaeh Robb, Tyra Robb.
Funeral services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, 1 Cemetery Road Pensacola, FL at 1:15PM, November 14, 2012.
