Dorothy Christine (Kelly) Collier
Richmond, Kentucky - Dorothy Christine (Kelly) Collier, 95, of 300 Stocker Drive, Richmond, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond.
Mrs. Collier was born on November 18, 1915, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Samuel R. Kelly, Jr. and Lula B. (Harris) Kelly and the widow of Harold E. Collier, Sr. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Kelly May and one brother, Jack H. Kelly.
She was a graduate of Furman University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 1937. Mrs. Collier was a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Richmond, and an avid Bridge player.
Survivors include: daughters, Christine Collier Campbell (Bert) of Richmond, Kentucky, Margaret Collier Jones (Doug) of Valdosta, Georgia, Barbara Collier George (Jim) of Fayetteville, Georgia; son, Harold Eugene Collier of Salem, VA; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Burrell officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Thomas Poteet and Son – Funeral Directors: 214 Davis Road, Augusta, GA 30907
