Dorothy Tyson McLemore

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, January 9, 2022, Mrs. Dorothy Tyson McLemore, 93, loving wife of the late Odie McLemore, Jr.

Dorothy was a native of Macon, GA but has lived in Evans for 30 years. She was a former bookkeeper/secretary for a number electrical companies in both Macon and Augusta. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She loved her genealogy work and attending sporting events for her grandchildren and others. She loved playing cards and games. She was an avid Georgia football fan. She loved being around people and being on the go. The family would like to thank University Hospital and Waverly Gardens of Evans for all their love and care.

Family members include her daughters: Dale Edwards and husband Samuel, Denise Middleton and husband Billy; grandchildren: Allison Beckham and husband Bryan, Barry Middleton, Craig Middleton and wife Kelsy, Nathan Edwards, Lauren Farr and husband James; 9 great grandchildren and other loving family members. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Waller and Lizzie Tyson, and siblings, W.M. Tyson, Julius Tyson, Sara Klepsig, and Vivian Towles.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
