Martinez, GA – Died, August 8, 2018, Dorothy M. Millen, 90, loving wife of the late James H. Millen Jr.

Mrs. Millen was born in Oxford, Michigan. After completing HS in 1945, she graduated from Protestant Deaconess Hospital in 1948 as an RN and a World War II cadet nurse. She married in 1948. She was married three months shy of her 60th wedding anniversary when Mr. Millen died. Mrs. Millen went on to specialize in cardiology nursing, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and a past member of West Lake Country Club Ladies Golf Association. Dorothy enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, lobster and family. She was very excited for the recent arrival of three great-grandchildren, Will, Finn, and Ella Mae.

She is survived by her children: Teresa Joyce Walker, James Lawrence Millen, MD, and Robert William Millen, Esq. (Feriale Millen, Esq.); Sister, Beverly Collier; grandchildren: Christine Walker (Paul Walsh), Antoinette Walker, Harrison Millen and Ahren Millen; cousins: Dianne Straus, Douglas Jamison and Jackie LaBarge.

The family is very grateful for the loving care given to Dorothy during her final years. Special gratitude to Mecee, Mimi, Shae, and Pauline.

A memorial service will be Saturday, August 18, at 2 PM - St. John United Methodist Church - 736 Greene Street, Augusta, GA. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 P.M. in the sanctuary narthex prior to the service.
