Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, February 22, 2011, Mrs. Dorothy Reese English, 84, wife of the late Malcolm E. English, Sr.

Mrs. Dorothy English was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church and was a former member of Johnson United Methodist Church in Warrenton, GA. Mrs. English and her husband were owners and operators of English Chevron in Augusta for 31 years.

Family members include daughter, Sylvia E. Dye and husband Leonard; grandchildren: Darryl English and wife Tonya, Karen Smith and husband Calvin, Jennifer Stewart and husband Larry, Patti Dye and 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Gladys Russell and special friend, Carol Smith. She was preceded in death by son, Mike English and brother, Charlie Reese.


Funeral services will be held today, February 24, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Riverview United Methodist Church with Rev. Elton Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lynn Brady Reese, Ray Myers, Larry Stewart, Jr., Calvin Smith, Bill Russell, Ronnie Duckworth and Kenneth English.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1244 Furys Ferry Rd, Evans, GA 30809.

The family will receive friends Thursday at 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at Riverview United Methodist Church.
