Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, September 10, 2010 at University Hospital, Mrs. Dorothy Ruth Coghlan, age 55, of Evans, GA.
Mrs. Coghlan was a native and lifelong resident of the Augusta area. She was a graduate of Butler High School. She retired with over 20 years of service from the Social Security Administration in Augusta. After retirement she became a stay at home mom. She was very involved in her children’s lives and made many sacrifices to see that they received a good education in a Christian atmosphere.
Family members include sons: Chad Coghlan and wife Loretta, Jeremy Coghlan and wife Stephanie; daughter: Allyson Coghlan; mother: Ruth Lucille Myers Smith; grandchildren: Carson, Mattie Anne, Garrett, and Reid Coghlan; brothers: L.R. Hadden and James Hadden.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Scott Franklin officiating.
