Augusta, GA – Dr. C. Richard Chamberlain, Jr., 84, beloved husband of Mary Anne Chamberlain, entered into rest on Friday, October 30, 2015.

Dr. Chamberlain was a native of Tyrone, Pennsylvania and at an early age moved to Yonkers, New York and then to Lynchburg, Virginia. He was the eldest son of C. Richard and Anne White Chamberlain. He was a graduate of Virginia Military Institute and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He came to Augusta in 1978 to serve as Chief of Laboratory Science at the V.A. Hospital and associate professor of pathology at the Medical College of Georgia.

He was a member of many medical organizations, former member of West Lake Country Club and was an active member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Charles R. III (Colleen) of Washington D.C., David E. (Kathy) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren: Ellen Chamberlain, Eric Chamberlain, and Bridget Chamberlain. Surviving are a brother, Robert of Washington D.C., four sisters: Patricia Roach of Birmingham, AL, Mary Catherine Wagoner, and Thaddea Globash of Lexington, KY, and Stephanie Barnett of Augusta, GA.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
