Dr. Dickey was a native of Statesboro, GA. He was a 1978 graduate of the Medical College of GA School of Dentistry with a DMD degree; he was also a graduate of L.S.U. Dental School, New Orleans in Endodontics. Dr. Dickey was a member of the Pierre Fauchard Society, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Association of Endodontics, American Association of Endodontics, Augusta Dental Society, Southern Endodontics Study Group, Augusta Endodontic Study Group, American Association of Endodontics and International Association of Endodontics. He was president of the Georgia Field Trial Association. Dr. Dickey was in private practice as an Endodontist in Augusta and Aiken for the past 29 years and was past faculty member and adjunct faculty of the School of Dentistry at MCG. He was a member of the Augusta Country Club and Church of the Good Shepherd.
Family members in addition to his wife include son: Michael Caldwell Dickey of Augusta, mother: Mary Ann Dickey, brother: Victor Dickey, sisters: Karen Anderson and husband Gene, Michelle Rogers and husband Tony all of Statesboro, GA; father-in-law: Francis Meehan; brother-in-law: F.P. Meehan and wife Betty of Augusta, sisters-in-law: Kathy McManus and husband Jon of Augusta, Cindy Dukes and husband Jamie of Grovetown, and Jodi Durden and husband Dave of Raleigh, NC, numerous-beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Church of the Good Shepherd with The Very Reverend Robert Fain officiating.
