Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, June 08, 2010, Dr. Victor Casella, 93, husband of the late Mrs. Sarah M. Casella.

Dr. Casella was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Army Air Corps. Dr. Casella was very active in the community and was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and the following organizations, Georgia Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, the Pinnacle Club, Knights of Columbus Patrick Walsh Council # 677 and was a Charter Member of the Italian-American Club of the CSRA.

Family members include, in addition to his wife: daughter Marianne Casella Maxwell and husband Vaughn of Augusta, son Dr. Thomas V. Casella and wife Carol of Augusta, grandchildren: Jason A. Morris, Clay W. Morris, Christopher C. Morris, Eleanor C. Loebl and husband Don, Thomas V. Casella, Jr. and wife Lindsay, Benjamin P. Casella and wife Laura, great grandchildren: Donald H. Loebl III, Carol Elizabeth Loebl and Benjamin Carter Casella.


Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
