Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, May 5, 2011, Dr. William Dewey Kitchens, 62, husband of Pamela Massey Kitchens.
Dr. Kitchens was a native of Decatur, GA and a graduate of the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. He moved to Grovetown and graduated from MCG School of Dentistry in 1983 and set up his practice in Grovetown. Dewey was a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, and a friend to so many.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Rebecca Jones (Matt), Laura Kitchens; son, William Robert Kitchens; grandchildren: Matthew H. Jones, Kyla A. Jones, Patrick Dougherty, Sean Dougherty; father, the late William Robert Kitchens; mother, the late Lillie Mae Cargal; stepfather, Harry D. Cargal; brother, Gordon Stacey Cargal; sisters: Nancy Ann Van Hutten (Warren), Carla Cargal; nephews: Tyler and Matt Deakin; and aunts: Doris Olmstead and Clyde Madaris.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grovetown United Methodist Church Building Fund, 206 East Robinson Ave., Grovetown, GA 30813.
