William “Bill” Sanders MD
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, September 20, 2012, Dr. William C. Sanders, Jr., 84, loving husband of 55 years to Anne Sanders.
Dr. Sanders was a native of Cordele, GA. He was a graduate of Medical College of Georgia and then served as chief of staff at the Gracewood State School and Hospital for 33 years. He was a member of Curtis Baptist Church and Curtis-Choplin Sunday School Class. Dr. Sanders was a loving husband and father.
Family members in addition to his wife include son: Jeff Sanders and wife Angela; daughter: Julie Beeland and husband Barry; grandchildren: Kristina Beeland, Wesley Beeland, Graham Beeland, Ryan Sanders, Sarah Anne Sanders, Alan Scott, Casey Scott, Victoria Scott; great grandchildren: Kaylee Cerceres, Olivia Scott, Ruby Scott, Libby Scott; and sister: Barbara Ellinger and husband Frank. The family would like to thank Sherri Allison and Sally Crouch for their love and care during Dr. Sanders illness.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 24, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Mark Sterling and Rev. Sherrill Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the grave.
