Dustin Read Hayden
Augusta, GA – Dustin Read Hayden entered into rest on Friday, September 27, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Fuhrmann Hayden of Augusta, his sons, Reynolds Read, 7, and Harland Triggs, 4. He is also survived by his mother, Susan Hayden of Augusta, father, Mitchell Hayden and grandmother, Polly Hayden of Kentucky, sister, BreAnna Musick and husband Kevin of Augusta, niece, Brooklen, nephew, Marshall, in-laws, Rusty and Jane Fuhrmann of Augusta, and many others who hold him very close to their heart.
Dusty was born in Kentucky on April 23, 1984 and moved to Augusta in 1986. He was a graduate of Lakeside High School and received his B.S. in Biology from Augusta State University. Dusty was also a 5th generation electrician prior to his pursuit of a medical degree. He leaves behind a reputation of loving, caring, selfless determination. Dusty had an adventurous spirit that was undaunted by his battle with cancer.
His hobbies included boating at the lake, working on his beloved Shelby GT500, and pulling for the Dawgs on Saturdays in the fall. His greatest joys in life were his roles as husband and father. He loved spoiling his wife and cooking. Dusty could usually be found at home with friends and family. He was always willing to organize and implement a gathering just to be in the company of those he loved. He will be so dearly missed by so many.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating. Pallbearers will include: Paul Sullivan, Justin Ferrara, Chris Wheeler, Aaron Wells, Justin Reeves, Joseph Sparks, Richard Fuhrmann, and Kevin Musick.
