Augusta, GA – On Tuesday, August 21, 2012, Mr. Earl H. DeLoach, 85, husband of the late Mrs. Eleanor DeLoach, went to be with the Lord.

Mr. DeLoach was a lifelong resident of Augusta and a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member at St. Paul Episcopal Church. He retired from General Wholesale Co. after more than 40 years as a salesman. He enjoyed watching golf, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, and playing his harmonica.

Survivors include Bettye Cook, loving companion, known as “Honey Bunny”; daughter: Dianne Kuhlke and husband Tripp of Augusta; sons: Terry DeLoach and wife Lynn of Suwanee, GA, Don DeLoach and wife Shellie of Roswell, GA; brother: Calvin DeLoach of Augusta; grandchildren: Ansley Kuhlke, Mary Dessie Kuhlke, Chandler DeLoach, Jordan DeLoach, Allison Gamblin and husband Matt, and Tyler DeLoach; and great granddaughter: Cora Gamblin.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at University Hospital, The Heart and Vascular Institute and Trinity Hospice. The family would also like to thank Dorothy Lee and Hattie Griffin for their special care.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Lou Scales officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to a charity of one’s choice.
