Augusta, GA – Entered into rest, Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Mrs. Edeltraut Schneider McGuire, 91, wife of the late James C. McGuire, Ret. MSG.
Mrs. McGuire was born in Berlin, Germany where she met her late husband and moved to the United States. She retired from Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center after 30 years as a registered nurse. She was dedicated to her church.
Family members in addition to her late husband, James C. McGuire and her late mother, Emma Schneider are niece, Gladys M. Winters of Roan Mountain, TN., Special friends, Becky Williams McCulley and Byron Williams, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Karl Dunker officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 402 Aumond Road, Augusta, GA., 30909.
