Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Monday, August 10, 2009 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Edith Rhodes Screws, 82. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Screws, son: Tommy Screws, Jr. and Steve Lonnie Holsomback.
Mrs. Screws was a lifelong resident of Martinez. She worked for several years in the swimming pool industry. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and family.
Family members include her daughters: Lynda S. Skillen and husband Jim of Martinez, Eleanor S. Holsomback and husband Dave of Lincolnton, GA, Pamela S. Biggam of Martinez; grandchildren: Lisa S. Endredi and husband Dave of Martinez, Shanna Triest of Martinez, Miriam Biggam of Evans, Robert Triest, Jr. of Lincolnton, Russell Biggam of Appling; 8 great grandchildren and sister: Barbara Lott of Evans.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Pallbearers will be Robby Triest, David Endredi, Jamie Sudduth, Jamie Sudduth, Jr., Gene Lott and Teddy Screws. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 2919 Professional Pkwy., Augusta, GA 30907.
