Edna Marcum

Augusta, GA - Entered into rest on Friday, October 25, 2024, Mrs. Edna Mundy Marcum, wife of 58 years to the late Percy Elwood Marcum. Other family members include her son: Mark “Chris” Marcum, Sr.; grandchildren: Erica Jordan (Nick), Christina Whitfield (John), and Mark Marcum, Jr. (Christine); great grandchildren are Nylah Marcum, Brynsley Marcum, Jayden Whitfield, Elijah Whitfield, Micah Whitfield: sister: Betty Young and nephew: Alan Young.

Mrs. Marcum was a native of Tennessee and also lived in Texas before moving back to Augusta where she has lived for many years. Before retiring, she worked as an administrative secretary for Judge Bill Fleming. She was a longtime member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and former Sunday school teacher at Mize Methodist Church. Mrs. Marcum was a classy southern lady who was full of both grace and personality. She was a loving and devoted mother but most enjoyed being known as “Grammy” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Jacob Almeter officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
