Mr. Edward E. "Gene" Floyd

Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, August 29, 2017, Edward E. “Gene” Floyd, 77, loving husband of Peggy Floyd.

Mr. Floyd retired after 22 years from the United States Coast Guard, was a Vietnam veteran and a loyal member of the American Legion Post 192. He was a well- loved husband and father and will be sorely missed.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include sons: Barry Parham (Lynn), Doug Parham; brother: Gary Widener (Gail); sisters: Pat Herndon, Glenda Dismang, Dianne Carroll, Linda Foster, Peggy Thompson; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association (CGCVA), P.O. Box 777, Havre De Grace, Maryland, 21078.
