Mr. Edward L. “Eddie” Taylor

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, October 3, 2010, at University Hospital, Edward Lamar “Eddie” Taylor, husband of Juanita F. Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and a former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, a member of IBEW Local #157, served on the Board of Directors for the John de la Howe School, and was the owner of Taylor Electrical Services. He served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years during the Vietnam War, and retired from International Paper after 47 years. Mr. Taylor was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Family members include: his wife and sons: James M. Foshee and wife Tina Kay of Hephzibah, GA, Shawn Foshee and wife Jackie of North Augusta, SC, daughter: Sherrie A. Blair and husband Wayne of Grovetown, GA, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers: Paul Taylor and wife Edwina of Augusta, GA, Tony “Butch” Taylor and wife Diane of Johnston, SC, William “Buddy” Taylor, of Augusta, GA, sister: Donna “Lady” Horne and husband Dicky of Augusta, GA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Home with Dr. L. Gordon Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James M. Foshee, Shawn Foshee, Donnie Davidson, Jimmy Mayton, James M. Foshee, III, and Steve Rayburn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Collier, Griff Lee, Joe Seaman, Aaron Ridgedill and International Paper Mill E/I Crew.

Memorials may be made to the John de la Howe School, 192 Gettys Road, McCormick, SC 29835-9721.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at
