Augusta, Georgia - Entered into rest Monday, June 3, 2013, Edwin Lloyd Strickland.

Family members include: 3 children, Jeffrey Scott (Katie Newton) Strickland of Augusta, GA, Richard Taylor (Johanna Mathis) Strickland of North Augusta, SC, and Katharine Anne (Shane Joseph) Howard of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren: Luke Osborne Strickland of Augusta, GA and Hailey Anne Howard of Wilmington, NC; and sister, Dorothy Jean Hutchinson of Brunswick, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Strickland and Dorothy Robinson Strickland of Brunswick, GA.

Eddie graduated from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, GA in 1964 and attended Augusta State University. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with distinction in the Air Force. He was owner and founder of Hops Grain & Barley Company and Westside Associates Real Estate. Eddie was a member of the Augusta Board of Realtors and he was past president of the Augusta Multiple Listing Service. As a member of the Good Shepherd Church he served on the vestry and as a lay reader.

Visitation will be at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904 at 10:00 am in the Parish Hall and a memorial service will follow at the church at 11:00 am on June 7, 2013 with The Rev. Robert Fain officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4115 Columbia Road, Suite 5-333, Martinez, GA 30907 or to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
