Elaine Leverett

West Columbia, SC – Entered into rest on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Mrs. Thelma Elaine Leverett, 77, loving wife of 45 years to the late Mr. Michael Veno Leverett.

Elaine was born to John and Thelma Williams Kendrick and raised in Augusta, GA. She worked as a dental assistant and was the president of the Augusta Dental Assistants Society before moving to West Columbia, SC in the 1970’s where she continued working for Dwight Eisenhower as a dental assistant at the VA Hospital. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother.

Family members include her son: Gary Williams of Charleston, SC; daughter: Susanne Ridgeway of Savannah, GA and Angie Huffstetler (David) of Lexington, SC; stepson: Kevin Leverett of Evans, GA; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Phillip Winsett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
