Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, January 24, 2018, Elise Marie Jones Little, 91.

Mrs. Little was a faithful lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was born in Brick Church, TN and grew up on the family farm. Mrs. Little graduated as valedictorian of her high school class. She worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, during the development of the Atomic Bomb during WWII. After the war she transferred to Ft. Gordon where she met her husband, Karl, and married him in 1950. Mrs. Little raised her two children, then earned her BA in History from Augusta College and worked in the library there for 25 years.

Family members include her son: Karley Y. Little, MD of Houston, TX; daughter: Alice Little Caldwell, MD (John) of Augusta; grandchildren: John P. Caldwell, Jr., MD, Katherine Elise Caldwell, MD, Elizabeth Grace Caldwell, Emily Little Stewart, MD, Kristina Marie Little, MD; great grandchild: Samuel Harbor Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband: Karl Little.

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 27, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at Evans Church of Christ with Mr. John O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Evans Church of Christ, 515 Gibbs Road, Evans, GA 30809.
