Miss Elizabeth A. Lewallen, 64, loving sister and aunt went to be with our Lord and Savior May 28, 2009.
Betsy was an employee of the University Hospital Patient Accounting Department for 47 years. She was a member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. Betsy loved to garden and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR.
She is cherished and loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include brother: Junior (Judy) Lewallen of Augusta; Nieces: Shawn (Peter) Chin of Augusta, Shannon (Chris) Gibson of Martinez; two great nieces: Alex and Ansley Gibson of Martinez; aunts: Ann Poole of Deer Park, OH, Mildred Holbrook of Harlem; and uncle: Frank (Margie) Young of Chamblee, GA. Special and extended family: Steve, Regina, Ashley and Matt Robinson, all of Martinez. She also leaves many loving cousins. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents: Cooledge and Elizabeth Lewallen.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Mann Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Brandon Fulmer officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Robinson, Matt Robinson, John Glover, Alan Spence, Ryan Beckworth and William Holden. Honorary pallbearers will be University Hospital Patient Accounting Department. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
