Elizabeth Bentley Hearn

Augusta, GA – Elizabeth Hearn (77), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Elizabeth was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Spending quality time with her family and friends brought her so much joy, but her highest assignment on this earth was prayer. She enjoyed praying with her friends (also known as the Golden Girls) and ministering to others in need. Elizabeth also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially when she could share it with others. She was a food critic at heart. Elizabeth was selfless & compassionate and had a strong faith in the Lord.

Family members include her sons: Duane Hearn (Norma), Darin Hearn; daughters: Renee Patterson (Jack), Stacy Wilson (Todd); grandchildren: Hannah Patterson,Tessa Wilson, Reed Wilson; siblings: June Kraft, Darlene Sisselberger, Donald Bentley, George Bentley, Fred Bentley, Denise Lloyd, Bryan Kraft, Greg Kraft. She was preceded in death by her brother: Sam Bentley.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 A.M., at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
