Martinez, GA – Mrs. Elizabeth Marceline Avery Bennett, beloved wife of 66 years to Jack D. Bennett, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Douglas, GA but moved to Augusta with family when she was young. She was very devoted and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Bennett loved life, her family, cooking and traveling.
Family members in addition to her husband include, daughter: Jane Starling (Danny); grandchildren: John Miller (Robbie), Elizabeth Wambsgans (Joseph); and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Jack Dorman Bennett, Jr.
A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Ruth Hester officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer’s Care, 1901 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
